Description

Position Overview: Responsible for the overall supervision of the team and their impact at a designated school site. Strategizes to maximize the team’s efficiency, quality, productivity, and performance for programs that focus on accelerating student achievement. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively develop and manage direct reports of Associates through onboarding, training, coaching, correcting, and open communication 
  • Adhere to and enforce company policies, procedures and expectations
  • Actively manage and communicate the scope of work and deployment of direct reports 
  • Facilitate feedback sessions with direct reports (team and one-on-ones)
  • Regularly observe direct reports and provide feedback
  • Formally evaluate staff performance and provide counsel and/or discipline as needed 
  • Approve human resource requests and manage attendance 
  • Support with interviewing and hiring program staff
  • Consult with the Director Team for elevated employee management situations
  • Oversee and manage the quality and impact of student-centered programming
  • Meet target metrics for school-based programs and team 
  • Proactively identify and resolve and/or escalate team or program issues
  • Actively collaborate and communicate with all stakeholders (school staff personnel and administration, parents, volunteers, partners, etc.)
  • Collect, store, analyze and report on accurate data
  • Ensure safety, security, and stated expectations of participants, employees, and volunteers are always maintained
  • Support all in-school, after hours, and extended day community school activities as needed
  • Develop and lead trainings as needed

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Excellent computer and administrative skills; proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Very strong communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills
  • Ability to think critically, creatively and strategically to promote quality programming and growth
  • Moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary or mobile position, as the shift demands 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Two-year or four-year college degree 
  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills 
  • Previous experience in program planning, implementation, evaluation and organizational support (4 years)
  • Previous people and project management experience (2 years)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
